Message from the CAO
The responsibility for Economic Development in the Township of Scugog is coordinated through the Office of the CAO. Through Economic Development, the Township is committed to supporting a healthy business environment and vibrant community that is responsible to the needs of its existing businesses. The Township is also committed to attracting new business enterprises thereby enhancing the Townships prosperity, sustainability, residents' well-being and quality of life as well as promoting a positive community image.The Township has identified three major sectors for economic development: 1) Tourism 2) Manufacturing and 3) Agriculture. In addition to the local Economic Development Advisory Committee, round table meetings are held on an annual basis with each sector to ensure the sector work plans are on track and to identify emerging issues.
