Projects that do not require a Building Permit:
- Fences (other than pool enclosures)
- Asphalt roof shingling
- Eavestroughs
- Damp proofing of basements
- Free standing satelite dishes
- Siding replacement
- Window replacement (same size as existing ones)
- Pool heaters
- Painting and decorating
- Accessory structures under 10 square metres (108 square feet) in area
Please note that although a building permit may not be required, you must still comply with the requirements of the Building Code, the Zoning By-law and other Township regulations, such as the Sign By-law and the Site Alteration By-law.
