The History and Future of the Old Mill

The Township of Scugog is hosting an evening on the History and Future of the Currie Grain Elevator on Tuesday February 16th from 7 to 9 PM in Council Chambers at the Township of Scugog Municipal Building, 181 Perry Street.
Special Guest speakers will feature 2009 Heritage Canada Foundation National Achievement Award Winners for the re-habilitation and adaptive re-use of the Alton Mill; Jordan Grant - Owner of the Seaton Group and Catharine Nasmith Architect. Discussion will take place around their experiences and challenges and success in restoring the Alton Mill. Paul Arculus, President of the Lake Scugog Historical Society will also be speaking on the history of the Currie Grain Elevator.
