The Scugog Standard presents “Chrome by the Lake” – the annual Scugog Shores Classic Car Show and Shine, on Water St. in Port Perry, overlooking the waterfront of Lake Scugog. The show, an annual favourite of classic car fans from across the township and beyond, will open at 8 a.m. that day and will once again feature classic cars from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, as well as custom and tuner cars. The event will also feature vendors of car memorabilia and builder items. All profits from the show will go toward supporting the work at the Scugog Shores Museum. Entry is only $5 per car, and includes 50/50 draws for car owners, as well as draws for thousands of dollars in prizes.
