Scugog Council for the Arts Exhibit

Scugog Shores Heritage Centre & Archives Drawing on inspiration from existing artifacts in the Scugog Shores Museum's collection, and celebrating the 125th anniversary of the rebuilding of Port Perry after the devastating fire of 1884, artists will create an original work of art which will then be displayed alongside the artifact in the gallery. The exhibit will be on display at the Scugog Shores Heritage Centre & Archives (inside the arena) at 1655 Reach Street, Port Perry. Hours are Tuesday, Thursday – Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm and Wednesday from 11 am – 8 pm. Admission is $3.00 for adults and free for members and children 12 and under. read more

Murder Mystery Evening

Explore the Museum village and help the detectives solve a mysterious murder. All assistant detectives will have the opportunity to interview the villagers and search for clues, in order to get to the bottom of this puzzling crime. Prizes, donated by local merchants, will be awarded to the detectives who catch the culprit. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets sell out every year so get yours early to avoid disappointment. read more

WindReach Farm will host its 16th annual fundraising Autumn Harvest Dinner and Barn Dance. The farm and silent auction open at 5:00 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. The evening will feature fiddle music, line-dancing, cook-out food and music by the Brian Rose Band. Tickets are $100 each or $750 for a table of eight. All proceeds support WindReach's programs for children and adults with special needs. read more

Annual Historical Walk in the Prince Albert Cemetery

This popular rain or shine walk organized by the Lake Scugog Historical Society is a guided walking tour of some of the interesting tombstones in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Prince Albert. The walk begins at 7:00 p.m. at the south end of the Pine Grove Cemetery near the United Church and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. There is no cost to participate in the walk, however a collection for the Lake Scugog Historical Society will take place at the conclusion of the walk. read more
